tale of 2 cousins: an adventure

They were able to get Mokuba up and wrapped him in a towel with hot chocolate to warm him up. They each took a seat, Yugi sitting between Britt and Hathor.

“You’re saying your brother is trapped in a virtual world he created?” Yugi asked

Mokuba nod as he went on to explain about the virtual pod.  Britt and Hathor both nod and they were annoyed to hear someone trapped Kaiba, even though the girls didn’t like him didn’t mean they wouldn’t help him.

It wasn’t long though that the group followed Mokuba to where the other pods were kept. They were surprised that there were six available. The group had to make a decision on who was going.

“I’m staying” Tea said
“So am I” Tristan agreed.

“Well then I guess it’s settled.” Britt said

The five went into the pods as they sat down and placed their decks in the deck holder in the pods. There was a bright light and when Tea and Tristan went to check the group was looking asleep. They looked at the screen seeing their friend’s images on it as they watched.

The group landed in a forest, they were all walking. Hathor, Bre and Britt noticed that the life point counter was 2000, which didn’t make them very uncomfortable.

“We need to be careful.” Britt said
“Come on with our skill, we can beat this game. Aren’t you girls champs, after all?” Joey said
“Yeah but we don’t know this game.” Hathor said

Soon they were coming in a graveyard, Britt and Bre held onto Hathor as they walked. Hathor just shook her head couldn’t believe that her two cousins couldn’t hold it together. Suddenly zombie duel monsters came out of the ground, it really freaked out the girls except Hathor. The girls though watched the guys handle it, all three put their hands on their heads seeing Joey make a bad move and losing life points.

Guess not everyone can learn as quickly. Britt thought

When the zombies were taken out they saw points, which they picked up seeing it was only five. “Five points?” Hathor asked

All were still confused but they saw a faerie that they followed, it led them to a town. They went everywhere asking if anyone had seen a guy with Kaiba’s description. Mokuba ran over to them.

“Hey I found a lead. But we got to cross the desert.” Mokuba asked.
“Worth a try.” Joey said

Britt, Bre and Hathor all looked toward the desert and they looked at the guys. “Good luck, we’ll be waiting here when you get blown back.” They answered.

The guys went for a try while the girls went around asking how to get across the desert. They found out about the new Atori card that could get them across and when they went looking for the tournament they seen the boys were back.

“Enjoy your trip?” Hathor asked
“No, it’s too hard.” Joey said

Britt sighed but she found the sign, “then two of us are going to have to go up against the champs to get the new Atori card to get across this desert.” Britt said

“I’ll do it.” Joey said
Bre smiled “So will I.” She answered

The group went as the two signed up, they were each gave costumes to wear so no one knew who they were. They saw the two champs approaching, as they were both nervous at first. It seemed like they were going to have to but after the first turn Mai made Bre and Joey took their disguises off.

“Mai.” Joey said
“Joey, what are you doing here?” Mai asked.
“We’re here to save Kaiba, the big five trapped him here.” Joey said

Mai looked at her partner convinced him to join with her friends as she used her Harpies to get the Atori card. The group then ran out of there away. The masked man took his disguise off and it surprised Bre. Nothing could of prepared her for what she saw. The boy had blue hair, yellow eyes and she felt a slight attraction to him. He noticed her staring and gave her a slight smile as he put his hand out.

“I’m Ceon.” He said
“Bre” She said shaking his hand

“Alright come on.” Britt said to the two as they were leaving to go across the desert.

They went to the edge as they summoned the new Atori card. Only four appeared so they knew they had to have two people sit. Britt went with Mai, Mokuba was with Joey, Hathor went with Yugi and Bre and Ceon had one. They all made their way across from one end to the other having to watch Joey summon red eyes to take down a sand monster. Once they made it, they went into a cave seeing a maze.

“Oh great.” Britt said

They went into the maze where tanks almost hurt them; luckily Yugi had his magical hats so it moved them. Though they realized the tanks were coming back so they moved fast following the faerie till they came across a girl that looked like Mokuba. There was a monster standing in their way of getting out but then they had to figure out how to defeat it. Yugi and Joey combined their two monsters with kunai with chain to defeat it. After that they were led out to carriages, which there was not enough for everyone.

“I can help” Ceon said as he held his hand out to Bre.
“Um, how?” Bre asked as she took his hand

The group watched as Ceon’s black wings came out and he picked Bre up as they were all led to the carriage to get in. Everyone was talking while Britt looked out watching her sister; Bre seemed to of gotten used to the idea of being held while Ceon was flying.

Ceon seems familiar. Britt thought
Bre had that feeling as well

Everyone was sat at the table, as plates were set before them, the girls ate moderately but with their manners. Joey on the other hand was stuffing it away like it was going out of style. As they talked about the offerings they were all led to the room.

Each was give something to wear Mai adored her outfit. Yugi didn’t mind his, neither did Ceon but Joey did mind. He didn’t want to come out. The curtain though was pulled as he revealed what it was. No one laughed but they thought it was good. Bre came out in a princess warrior outfit that was blue, Hathor and Britt though didn’t want to come out at all.

“Oh come on. It’s not gonna be that bad.” Mai said

Hathor got the guts and came out, she was dressed in a princess warrior outfit that was red but it came with a sword.

“Y-You look n-nice.” Yugi said as he looked away with a slight blush.

Hathor went toward the other dressing room and pulled Britt out by force.

“No..Hathor don’t!” Britt said

Everyone was surprised to see Britt in a royal armor outfit that looked like a female warrior. Mai was impressed for Britt could pull it off and she felt the color matched her perfectly.

“You look nice.” Mai said

I couldn’t agree more. She heard a voice say, which made her blush a little

A group of duel monsters came, everyone used a card from their deck to keep them away but they captured what they thought was the princess but had come out to find it was Mokuba. The group went out where the flying machine was as Joey used time wizard to bring it back to its original form. The ground below started to crack as the group fell through but the flying machine lifted with them on it.

They let Joey drive the flying machine as they were heading to the castle, as they approached they saw the monsters that were coming. Each summoned a monster.

“Flame swordsman attack!” Joey said
“Dark Magician attack!” Yugi said
“Goddess of the Nile Attack” Britt said
“Fire Dragon attack!” Bre and Hathor said as they summoned their dragons

Everything seemed to be going well until a duel monster went to attack Yugi. Eeru was the one who took the hit making her get digitized for sacrificing her life for Yugi’s. Yugi though had enough as he started to cry and his puzzle started to glow brightly. The girls knew who was coming out at that moment. When they made it through to the barrier making it past they saw a salamandra that was in the way. Mai’s Harpy lady took care of it but they all had to abandon ship.

As they got the tower the real battle began as they were going up to take down Kaiba. Seemed like the end was there but then they had to deal with the final level. Which meant the big five summoned the legendary dragon.

“Aw man, I thought we won.” Britt said

Each of them had their own dragon out, each of them were trying to figure out how to defeat it. The legendary dragon attacks Joey, digitizing him into nothing. It went to attack Bre but Ceon got in the way and he was digitized. Mai got upset as she went to attack but was no match for the dragon so she lost. The sent the ultimate dragon after Seto but Mokuba pushed him out of the way. Bre was about to come up with a plan but they attacked her dragon, which made Britt cry seeing her sister get digitized.

“Win this…” Bre’s final words were

“Four have fallen, four are to go.” The big five said

“We’ll never stop fighting!” Hathor and Britt said

Britt and Hathor were talking about working together when Britt’s Dragon got attacked.

“NO!” Yami said

Britt fell to her knees looking down as she saw herself getting digitized. Hathor was running over but stopped when she saw Yami over there by her.

“I’ll get you back. I promise.” Yami said

Britt was about to say something but before she could Yami had kissed her, which surprised her. Hathor was surprised but she seen her cousin disappears.

“Y-You! I hate you all! That was my cousin!” Hathor said

“Don’t worry, you can join them!” The big five said

The dragon attacked Hathor’s making her cry out; Yugi had taken over for a short time as he ran over to Hathor. He started crying seeing her being digitized.

“Hathor…don’t go. Please. I need your help.” Yugi said
“Sorry Yugi. Please win.” Hathor said

Yugi nod as he got the courage to plant a kiss on Hathor’s lips before she digitized into nothing. He was so angry that Yami took over; they worked with Kaiba to get the strongest monster on field and destroy the big five. There they were able to return home and be awakened knowing that they’d won the game.

A few days passed since that day, Britt and Hathor had spent some alone time figuring out what they were going to do. The kiss each of them had received in the virtual world played in their minds constantly. Bre had secretly been hanging out with Ceon since her time in the virtual world.

Hathor walked with Britt as she seen Britt was thinking of something but they said nothing to each other. As the girls were walking, they noticed a new game shop. In deciding to be a fair sport they walked into the building just to check it out.  Nothing could prepare them for seeing their friends there and a guy standing in front of them.


“Yugi” the two girls said.

The group looked at the girls seeing them, Yugi smiled at them and motioned them over which the girls walked over slowly.

“You’re Yugi Motou’s friends?” Duke asked
“We are.” The two answered

Duke was surprised; the two girls who he just met were not like Tea. Britt and Hathor looked around at the game shop and then their attention went back to Yugi.

“So what’s going on here?” Britt asked
“Don’t worry Britt, Joey’s about to have a duel.” Yugi answered
“Let’s go.” Joey said

Duke led the way as the group got into the elevator. He was looking at the group of friends while Joey was picking some cards.

How does he do it? He’s got well known duelists as friends. Duke thought

Britt and Hathor were talking with Yugi to discuss a few things.

When they got to Joey’s duel, they were unsure nor did they know the conditions. The group watched as they seen Joey lose miserably but it was an unfair advantage with the dueling cards not being Joey’s deck.

Didn’t seem fair.. Hathor thought

When the girls seen a dog suit be brought to Joey they thought it was humiliating. It seemed like there was not anything they could do but then they noticed Duke was hitting Joey with dice. He looked over at Hathor for a minute but Yugi didn’t like that Duke was hitting his friend with dice or looking at the girl he liked and before they could do anything the pharaoh had taken over and stopped the dice.

“Enough! I won’t let you keep doing this to my friend!” Yami said

Everyone watched as the girls seen him Britt turned away as she felt uncomfortable. Hathor knew Britt didn’t believe she was a reincarnated Queen but she knew that there was a lot falling at their feet for the truth. So when they watched the intense duel for Duke and Yami, Britt was watching, as she got nervous that he might lose. He turned it around and ended up winning against Duke. Britt smiled seeing he won, but once it was done she started to walk away. Yami caught up to her and stopped her making her look back.

“Good game.” Britt said
“You were watching” Yami said as he pulled her close “I need the Nile gem of my past.” He whispered in her ear

She didn’t say anything but pulled away as she saw Yugi take over. They were all led to another room so that they could have a big sit down. Hathor sat by Yugi while Britt was over by Tea listening to Duke.

“Duke, we can be friends.” Yugi said
“Really? After I was so awful.” Duke asked
“Friendship is always better.” Yugi said

Everyone left on a happy note that day as they all left not long after. Yugi though saw Britt walking off by herself so he ran up to catch up to her.

“Hey Britt!” Yugi said
Britt stopped as she turned around “Hi Yugi.” Britt said
“Hey, I know things are rough between you and the pharaoh…maybe you and him can help each other out.” Yugi said
“How?” Britt asked
“You both seem to have a past together, so I was thinking you could go looking for answers to that past.” Yugi said

Britt was quiet for she didn’t know if she wanted to know but the pharaoh’s words came to her mind. Nile gem

What does that mean? Britt thought

“I guess I could.” Britt said
“Great, meet me at the school at 4.” Yugi said as he ran off.

Hopefully I don’t regret this. Britt thought
